The Philadelphia 76ers will look to continue their preseason schedule on Monday night when they take on the Cleveland Cavaliers on the road. The goal will be looking to continue to build their team and grow as a unit before the regular season begins on Oct. 18.
For the second straight game, the Sixers will be down an important piece. When they last took on the Cavs at home on Wednesday, coach Doc Rivers was under the weather and he did not coach in that one. In this one, the Sixers will be without their big man.
Joel Embiid will miss Monday’s matchup with the Cavs as he did not travel with the team to Cleveland. He is healthy, he just will not play in the contest.
Joel Embiid (personal training plan) did not make the trip to Cleveland for tonight’s preseason game against the Cavs. The Sixers say he is healthy, just wasn’t going to play tonight.

Tipoff from the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse is set for 7 p.m. EDT. Without Embiid, this will give the Sixers an opportunity to see what Paul Reed, Montrezl Harrell, and PJ Tucker will do in the backup center battle.
